Redwood BenchA venerable classic in salvaged wood. Our redwood bench harks back to early Arts & Crafts motifs in the forthright simple integrity of its design. The seatbacks are sculpted with a subtle pillow profile. So comfortable you could set up camp on it. And it sheds water like a duck. But the real story here is in its joinery. A tenon and tapered mortise construction secured with a Honduran mahogany wedge. A technique that locks down each piece of this bench tighter than Fort Knox. No matter the sunshine or rain, it’s built to last for generations. Available in a chair version and as a swinging bench. SIZE: 61"w 26"d 31"h PRICE: $1850 MATERIAL: Salvaged Old Growth Redwood from barns, bridges, water and wine tanks. FINISH: Penetrating oil. Designed to be used outdoors. Wood will grey over time if left to the elements. A loving coat of boiled linseed oil once a year will help replenish the wood. Wax finish available for indoor use.
