Folding Wine Barrel Chair

Reminiscent of a steamer deck chair, our folding barrel stave chair is made from salvaged 70-gallon oak wine barrels. When folded, the slats nest alongside one another, making the chair as flat as a comma: you can take it anywhere. Award-winning design. Individually numbered with the name of the winery branded under the seat. Looks as good in the house as it does on the lawn. For those who don’t like to be alone, there’s also a bench variety.

MATERIAL: White oak from salvaged wine barrels. Quarter-sawn, with smoky burgundy highlights. Oak rails secured by—count ’em—72 screws.

FINISH: Penetrating oil. Designed to be used outdoors. Wood will grey over time if left to the elements. Bring them indoors for long periods of non-use to preserve the color. A loving coat of boiled linseed oil once a year will help replenish the wood.
