Ideal as a standalone, even better as a dining room set. Our Vertebrae Back Dining Chair recalls the honest grace of Frank Lloyd Wright design. From the gentle cant of the seatback, to the classic mortise and tenon joinery throughout, to the character of the aged wood. Unique vertebrae design in the back boards made from the actual pegs that hold the wine-tank staves together. Perfect for any kind of meal—unless you like to eat sitting on the floor.

MATERIAL: White oak from salvaged wine tanks. Quarter-sawn, with smoky burgundy highlights. Tanks removed from Robert Mondavi Winery in 2000.

FINISH: Hand-rubbed shellac with wax. Fumed in the traditional way with ammonia for a medium to dark brown coloring. Burgundy wine tank surface on chair back.

UPHOLSTERY: Leather, hemp, or customer-supplied material.
