Perhaps the ideal marriage of wood and leather (or hemp, if you’re so inclined). Comfortable enough to read War and Peace in an entire sitting. SIZE: 28"w 27"d 36"h PRICE: $3150 MATERIAL: White oak from salvaged wine casks. Quarter-sawn. French oak casks first put to use in 1905. Cresta Blanca winery, Livermore, CA. FINISH: Hand-rubbed shellac. Fumed in the traditional way with ammonia for a golden tan to dark brown coloring. Burgundy wine staining on legs with a hint on the arms as well.
